Moel Famau and Clwydian Summary
The Clwydian Hills is a range of hills with numerous points at which you can start your ride. Whilst there are car parks around Moel Famau, some routes can be started from nearby Ruthin or from the country pak at Loggerheads.
There are facilities in the towns and villages around the hills. Ruthin is a good base for exploring, as is Loggerheads Country Park to the east of the range. Those completing routesthrough the passes can stop at The Hut at Bwlch Pen Barras which serves hot drink and food. Open every day in the season, but only at weekends during the winter.
Trail Centre Details
The Clwydian Hils of North Wales are criss crossed with numerous brildways and forestry tracks, and are perfect for those looking for some easier mountain biking off the waymarked routes. There is one waymarked trail, an easy blue trail called the Ffrith Mountain Circular on Moel Famau.
