Route Starts from:
Coed Moel Famau Car park which is close to the A494 between Ruthin and Mold as it is clearly signposted with brown signs for Moel Famau Country Park Alternatively – Grid Reference SJ 173 612. Note that there is a fee fpr parking here.

Ride Details
This easy blue route provides a perfect short route for those with families or looking to build up their mtb skills. Be warned that sections are on shared multi-used trails, and that the walk up Moel Famau is exceptionally popular with walkers.
This ride meanders its way through the forest of Moel Famau, climbing steadily to a high point at the edge of the trees with spectacular views over Merseyside and beyond.

A terrific descent is followed by more bridleway and a fun stream crossing before re-entering the forest. A grind up the forest road climb leads to a fast finish back to the car park.

Base Summary: Moel Famau and Clwydian
The Clwydian Hills is a range of hills with numerous points at which you can start your ride. Whilst there are car parks around Moel Famau, some routes can be started from nearby Ruthin or from the country pak at Loggerheads.
