Wales offers a diverse range of mountain biking experiences, from purpose-built trail centers with international reputations to rugged, adventurous bridleway routes.

Snowdonia (Eryri) and North Wales

This region is widely considered a premier hub for mountain biking in the UK, offering everything from beginner-friendly tracks to extreme downhill parks.

  • Coed y Brenin: A world-renowned purpose-built center with routes for all abilities. Highlights include the expert-level Beast of Brenin, Tarw Du, and MBR routes. Intermediate riders can tackle the Dragon’s Back or Temptiwr red routes, while beginners have access to the Minor-tour (blue) and Yr Afon (green) trails.
  • Gwydyr Forest: Features the Marin Trail, famous for its significant climbs and technical singletrack, and the Penmachno Trail located nearby.
